The All Manipur Physio-Therapist Association (AMPA) has announced plans to provide free physiotherapy service for the displaced people and the frontliners who are in need of the service at some dedicated clinics.
AMPA president Yambem Indibushan made the announcement as part of the global observation of “World Physical Therapy Day 2023” held at the Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, Imphal on Friday.
The celebration was conducted under the theme “Arthritis”. The observation was first held in 1996 at London, United Kingdom. Since then, the day has been celebrated under different themes, Indibushan said.
He said, during the crisis many displaced people including injured frontliners need physiotherapy service after their treatment. Considering the need of the service, the association decided to provide free treatment, he added.
Indibushan said free service for the displaced people and frontliners will made available at Sidayai Physiotherapy Clinic, Nongmeibung Imphal East; Matai Rehabilitation Centre, Luwangsangbam,Imphal West; Neurological Physical Therapy Clinic, Leishangthem Thoubal; Apollo Physiotherapy Clinic, Khongnangani karak Chingmeirong, Imphal East; Kshetri Physiotherapy Clinic, Keishampat, Imphal West; Prem Physiotherapy Clinic, opposite DC Thoubal; Health City Physiotherapy Clinic, opp Thoubal PS; Dr. Bicky Physiotherapy Clinic, Kumbi Parking Moirang, Bishenpur District; Neuro Muscloskeletal Disorder Physiotherapy Clinic, Kwata farm Maning Moirang; Genesis Physio care Clinic, Ahongei Leirak,Porompat, Imphal East and Other Districts Physiotherapy Clinics of Manipur.
He further urged all the Physiotherapy fraternity of Manipur to serve the needy patients wherever these clinics cannot be approached.
