Manipur on Friday recorded four new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,37,236 and the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 4.2 per cent as of Friday.
According to a release issued by the State COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the four COVID-19 cases reported on Friday, three are reported from Imphal East and one from Imphal West.
The state reported zero new recoveries, confining the number of recovered cases to 1,35,110. The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent. Manipur now has six COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.
Meanwhile, a total of 143 Oxygen Cylinders and 12 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,90,430 (first dose: 15,68,311 second dose: 12,26,581 precautionary dose: 95,538).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.85 per cent and for the second dose is 52.06 per cent, it mentioned.
