Former MLA Keba launches political campaign

Keba was elected as MLA of Patsoi assembly constituency in 2012 in his maiden election as an independent candidate by defeating the former deputy chief minister L Chandramani Singh.

Former MLA of Patsoi assembly constituency Sapam Kunjakeswor Singh alias Keba has launched his political campaign as intending BJP candidate of the same assembly constituency on Wednesday.

Keba was elected as MLA of Patsoi assembly constituency in 2012 in his maiden election as an independent candidate by defeating the former deputy chief minister L Chandramani Singh. He lost the 2012 state legislative assembly election as an All India Trinamool Congress candidate.

In the last election conducted in 2017, he lost by a margin of 114 votes as Northeast India Development Party (NEIDP) candidate against the present sitting MLA AK Mirabai.

Speaking on the launching programme, Keba appreciated the people coming to join the campaign and expressed that with the support from the public, a change can be brought in the assembly constituency.
