Former minister Biren appointed Manipur JD-U president

Dr Kh Loken Singh and 0 Nabakishor Singh have been appointed as new general secretaries, organisation and administration respectively.

Former minister Ksh Biren Singh has been appointed as president of Manipur Janata Dal-United by party national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh.

As per a press communique issued on Tuesday signed by general secretary, JD-U, Afaque Ahamad Khan, the party stated that with reference to press communique dated June 5, wherein, the party national president, and MP had dissolved the state committee of Manipur with immediate effect, and appointed Ksh Biren Singh (ex-minister Manipur) as the convenor of the Manipur JD-U

In continuation of the process for re-organisation of the state committee, the JD(U) national president has announced the appointment of Ksh. Biren Singh as the president along with Dr Kh. Loken Singh (ex.-MLA Manipur) and 0. Nabakishor Singh (retired IAS) as general secretaries, organisation and administration respectively.

Afaque on Monday informed the appointment of the state unit president to Biren, who was asked to constitute the state executive committee and office bearers with representation of all sections of society viz., SC/ST/OBC, minorities and women as specified in the party constitution.

“We hope that under your able and dynamic leadership the party will grow from strength to strength in the state,” the general secretary wrote to Biren.
