Father’s Day was widely held across Tamenglong district, Manipur with programmes organised by respective churches under the theme ‘Honouring father’.
At Zeliangrong Baptist Church, despite the bad weather, a huge crowd gathered to get blessings from God. Special songs were presented by Sunday school students during the observation.
A special gift was also presented to fathers from women society Zeliangrong Baptist Church, Baptist Churches Union India.
Associate Pastor Reverend Johnkim Pamei urged all to obey the father of the family and aspire to bring one’s father happy.
Minister Awangbow Newmai also greeted Father’s Day to all fathers, particularly all fathers of his assembly constituency.
He said that Father’s Day is a special occasion that brings family together to honour and celebrates the role of men who played a significant role in our lives.
Local MLA Janghemlung Panmei also extended his greetings to all the wonderful fathers and particularly all fathers of his assembly constituency. “Let us all honour the value of integrity, responsibility and empathy that our fathers exemplify, everyday, helping us succeed,” he said.
