Farmers training programme held in Tengnoupal

The training programme was attended by around 80 farmers from 14 different villages of Rumril FPC, Tengnoupal district.

A two-day farmers training cum sensitisation programme on Farmers Producer Company Management, Food Processing and Value Addition for Rumril Farmers was organised at Machi Public Hall in Tengnoupal district on Monday.

The training programme was organised by Diocesan Social Service Society (DSSS) under the sponsorship of Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation as part of the third phase of the Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region.

In the programme, Rumril FPC CEO Joshou, DSSS field staff K Anthony and former trainees Christie Charanga and K Mekham guided the participants in making king chilli pickle, ginger candy, ginger salty, gooseberry candy, turmeric pickle and pineapple squash.

The training programme was attended by around 80 farmers from 14 different villages of Rumril FPC, Tengnoupal district.

On the occasion, Rumril FPC gi CEO, Joshou said that the training programme was conducted to train the farmers to reap the full benefits of the seasonal harvests.
