For a fair and mass participation of the citizens, the district administration conducted the first round of randomisation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trials (VVPAT) on Wednesday in the presence of additional district election officer Yumnam Nelson and representatives from various political parties.
About 519 Control Units, 519 Ballot Units and 558 VVPATs were randomised in the strong box located at the Old DC’s Office, Tuibong.
On completion of the first round of randomisation, the EVMs and VVPATs will be assigned and allocated among the six constituencies in Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts.
Meanwhile, the first round of training for polling personnel, which began on Tuesday, continues at Churachandpur Government College. In the training programme on Wednesday, about 345 Polling Officer-2 (Male) and 345 Polling Officer-3 (Male) were trained by the Master Trainers.
