The Women department of Evangelical Churches Association (ECA), Moreh on Thursday celebrated its golden jubilee under the theme ‘For this God is our God for ever and ever’ at ECA Church, Mission veng at Moreh in Tengnoupal district.
To mark the 50 years anniversary, reverend Tongkai Haokip of Moreh Pastorate Area unveiled the Golden Jubilee stone and released celebratory balloons. As part of the celebration, the traditional ‘Dahpi’ gong was struck 50 times.
In remembrance of the departed leaders and members of the church, a one-minute condolence service was observed followed by the release of the Golden Jubilee Souvenir.
In the event, speaker of the golden jubilee observance rev Tongkai Haokip informed all to reflect on God’s faithfulness throughout the journey “in order to grow stronger in the lord.”
As a part of the golden jubilee celebration, gifts were presented to the church women who had married to other denominations. The celebration concluded with a feast which then culminated with the night social gathering
