Eat Right Walkathon and Eat Right Mela in Churachandpur

A Walkathon was held from YPA Hall till Synod Hall, IB Road, Churachandpur.

In celebration of the upcoming Independence Day celebration, a Eat Right Walkathon and Eat Right Mela, with the theme ‘Eat Save-Eat Healthy-Eat Sustainable’ was held on Wednesday in Churachandpur.

As part of the observation, a Walkathon was held from YPA Hall till Synod Hall, IB Road, Churachandpur where more than 15 stalls from different food and drinks products were on display.

The programme started with felicitation of dignitaries and a keynote address by designated officer, FSA Churachandpur, K Sunita Devi.

The programme was organised by the Food Safety Administration (FSA), Churachandpur under the aegis of Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI).

Earlier during the day, the programme was flagged off by Addl. SP Hasby Haokip while the hall programme was graced as chief Guest by CMO of Churachandpur Dr Kim Simte, with food analyst Sanajouba Meetei as functional president and as guest of honour by Addl SP Mrs Hasby Haokip, MPS.

The chief guest said that the programme was the first of its kind in the district and added that many restaurants and food stalls are coming up in the district which calls for the food Safety department to be more vigilant.

Sanajouba Meetei spoke on the food safety method to the attendants who are mostly school students, nurse trainees and people who dealt in food productions including fruits producers of the district.
