The chief minister inaugurated the e-Seva Kendra in the presence of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar, Justice Lanusungkum Jamir, Justice MV Muralidaran, Justice A Bimol Singh and G Gaiphulshillu, Registrar General, High Court of Manipur.
e-Sewa Kendra is an IT-based service developed under eCourt Project. It enables litigants to obtain information with respect to case status and obtain copies of judgments and orders. These Kendras represent a significant step for the common man and the right of access to justice.
It also guides people on how to avail free legal services from the state and District Legal Services Authorities. Fifteen other centres are also planned to be set up in the district courts soon.
