DSSS organises exposure trip

Sponsored by MANOS UNIDAS, 50 SHG and OFG members from different villages of Chandel, Tengnoupal and Sugnu districts participated in the exposure.

A two-day and two nights Exposure programme for SHG & RC leaders and farmers to study best practices for replication relevant to the local context was organised by DSSS, Mantripukhri under WCIDSAT Project on September 15 and 16.

Sponsored by MANOS UNIDAS, 50 SHG and OFG members from different villages of Chandel, Tengnoupal and Sugnu districts participated in the exposure.

Farmers were introduced to different plantation techniques and methods that were practiced in the district and will be relevant in their surroundings and that will help in elevating their economic growth.

During the exposure trip a workshop on different topics was also held in which a team of experts from KVK, namely, Kh Nodiyachand SMS (Horticulture), Dr Hoilenting Vaiphei SMS (Fisheries) and A Brojendro Singh, programme assistant Agro Forestry were the main resource persons.

DSSS staff Rev Fr Soni Thomas (Jt Director DSSS), Paul Zabiekrem (programme coordinator) also attended the exposure programme.
