A drug addict allegedly killed his father by slashing multiple times on April 20 at around 11:30 pm at Thanga Moirangthem Leikai, Bishnupur district.

The man slashed his father multiple times on April 20 at around 11:30 pm at Thanga Moirangthem Leikai, Bishnupur district, the sources said.
According to the sources, the alleged killer was identified as one Moirangthem Jupiter and he attacked his 51 year-old father Moirangthem Jugindro while the latter was sleeping at his home at Thanga Moirangthem Leikai.
Soon after the killing, Jupiter headed for Thanga hills to his hideout. Later, he was brought back by the family members after convincing him to surrender at Keibul Lamjao Police Station.

The last rite of the deceased was performed on April 21 after a post-mortem was conducted at RIMS.
