Pradhan of Moirang Kampu GP, L Rameshor, who received the Dr Ambedkar Distinguished Service National Award-2022 was felicitated on Saturday by the Moirangkampu Union Club at its premises in Imphal East.
Rameshor received the Dr Ambedkar Distinguished Service National Award-2022 during the 38th Dalit Writers’ National Conference of the Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi held at the national capital on December 11 and 12 for his distinguished service in literature, cultural and social activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Rameshor gave the credit for the award to the people of Moirang Kampu GP as he has been elected a pradhan by them.
Confessing that many developmental activities taken up under him might still have not reached some locations of his GP, he assured that all possible steps will be taken up to ensure that developmental activities will continue until they reach every nook and corner of his GP.
The felicitation programme was also attended by president of Moirangkampu Union Club Waikhom Anand, president of Moirangkampu Development Committee Ningthoujam Manimohon, senior citizens Athokpam Binidhor, Moirangthem Tombi and Loukrakpam Syamsundor among others.
