Doordarshan Welfare and Recreation Club, DDK Imphal (DOWREC Imphal) on Thursday felicitated director (Engineering), DDK Imphal, Hemanta Naorem on his promotion to deputy director general (Engineering).
A release stated that the felicitation function was held at the premises of DDK Imphal at Porompat. The function was attended by the members of DOWREC, staff and the officials, it added.
It mentioned that Hemanta is the first person from Manipur to have reached the level of deputy director general in the Engineering Cadre of All India Radio and Doordarshan.
