Indigenous People’s Association of Kangleipak (IPAK), Manipur on Friday condemned doctors for allegedly practicing in both government and private hospitals and questioned if the Directorate of Health, Manipur allows such practices.
In a release, IPAK stated that the association condemned the practice of doctors working in both government hospitals as well private hospitals and clinics. Such ‘greedy’ practices lead to the negligence of patients in government hospitals, it added.
IPAK questioned if the Directorate of Health, Manipur allows such practice of doctors working in both government and private hospitals. Doctors should retire from government hospitals if they wish to work in private hospitals, it stated.
