District level Yuva Utsav in Churachandpur

During the Youth Festival, various competitions, including art, literature, declamation, photography, and other cultural contests were conducted.

A District Level Yuva Utsav (Youth Festival) 2022 under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was organised by NYK Churachandpur in collaboration with the NSS Cell of the Rayburn College at the premises of Rayburn College, Gangpimual in Churachandpur district on Tuesday.

During the Youth Festival, various competitions, including art, literature, declamation, photography, and other cultural contests were conducted. The winners of the contest will represent the district in the state level competition to be organised by NYK under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The event was attended by additional DC Khaikhopau Ngaihte as the chief guest.

On the occasion, the chief guest expressed pride and said that he felt privileged to be at the Rayburn Collage “which is the only college in the district which provides master's degrees.” He emphasised the need for the youth to discard the drawbacks of old practices and adopt new and innovative ideas in order to move society forward.

Rayburn collage vice principal Kh Thianminlian Vaiphei mentioned that the youth festival is participated by different colleges of the district including Rayburn College, Churachandpur Government College, Lamka Government Collage, and Young Pillar College.

He added that the festival is a national platform to hone the talents of the youth, urging all the participants to take part in the festival wholeheartedly.

The District Level Youth Festival 2022 concluded with the prize distribution to the winners of the different competitions, followed by a vote of thanks from the Rayburn College principal Khen P Tombing.
