The All Manipur Students Union (AMSU) has condoled the demise of Manipur Peace and Integrity Council president Nongthombam Bimol who passed away on August 13. AMSU stated that Bimol not only played an important role in building the relationship between people from the hills and the valley but also worked with a vision of bringing peace in the state. Bimol, who had also worked as convener of the Protection and Preservation Committee, tried to unite all the civil organisations in the state.
