Speaking on the occasion, E Sarat said that the working class people of the state had been the prime victim of the price hike. He urged the public to fight together against the unjust price hike.

Local secretary of Kakching local council M Rameshor said that many poor families from remote places are facing adversity in travelling to hospitals owing to the price hike of oil and petroleum products. He accused the state government for being incompetent in handling the issue.
