Already, the inflation is very high and the recent repo rate hike by the RBI will help companies to push up the price of their products while inputs have become costlier, CPI stated in a release issued by office secretary Roykutty.

The government, ignoring the fact that the hike in prices of petroleum products will have a cascading effect, has given free hands to oil marketing companies to continuously raise the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG cylinders, it stated. It mentioned that the government remains insensitive to people’s suffering but is continuously helping corporate houses to fill their kitties.

The party, while strongly condemning the hike move, called upon all party units to come out on streets in protest along with all like-minded parties against the anti-people move, it added.
