In a bid to reach out to the local populace, Loktak battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of Churachandpur sector organised a COVID-19 awareness drive in Kangvai village, Churachandpur district on Sunday, stated a release.

It stated that the residents of the village were sensitised on the importance of adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines issued by authorities in combating the spread of the virus in society.

The event also included a street play on the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic which highlighted the preventive measures, especially the Dos and Don’ts, social distancing, aspects of wearing masks and maintaining personal hygiene, it added.
