Six student bodies of Manipur comprising MSF, DESAM, KSA, SUK and AIMS and another students organisation on Tuesday demanded to conduct similar anti-militant operations carried out in Moreh in Kangpokpi and Churachandpur to root out Kuki militant groups.

Mention may be made of the joint operations by state and central security forces in Moreh border town and surrounding villages which had led to arrests of Kuki militants and recovery of large numbers of weapons, including explosive materials, after the killing of police officer Ch Anand.
