Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Yumnam Khemchand Singh condoled the demise of state information commissioner S Ibocha Singh.
In a release, Khemchand stated that S Ibocha Singh (retired IPS officer) was the state information commissioner and also served up to the rank of IGP in the department of Manipur Police. He rendered many commendable services.
As a writer, he had an invaluable contribution to the Manipuri literature and besides this he was also a sports loving person. His untimely demise has caused a huge loss in the Manipur society, the speaker added.
"I share the grief and sorrow of his bereaved family members and pray for his eternal peace in the heavenly abode. May his soul rest in peace", Khemchand said.
Manipur Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh condoles death of Thangjam Angoubi Devi
Meanwhile, Manipur Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh on Tuesday extended condolences on the untimely demise of Thangjam Angoubi Devi who was former member of 4-Khundrakpam ZP, Imphal East and former pradhan of Haraorou Tangkham GP.
Mentioning that he is deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Thangjam Angoubi Devi, Th Biswajit stated in his condolence message that as member of 4-Khundrakpam ZP, Imphal East from 2012 to 2017 and 2017 to 2021, and former Pradhan of Haraorou Tangkham GP from 2007 to 2012, Thangjam Angoubi Devi was associated with various developmental works and was very committed in the welfare of the society.
“It is indeed a great loss for our society. I send my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and well-wishers. May her soul rest in peace,” he stated.
