It asserted that the Centre and state governments must bear all responsibilities should any untoward incident occur. It questioned the alleged failure of the central and state forces to timely rescue all the three youths from the hands of the chin kuki narco terrorists. It also asked the SSC why the recruitment process was organised in the red zone area.
Considering that N Johnson was rescued by the Central Forces, COCOMI said that the security forces could have obtained necessary details from him and intensify measures to rescue the two missing youths, and not remain silent. It urged the centre and state to immediately begin rescue operations and hand them over to the grief-stricken families, else warned of public-stir.
