The snake was rescued by People For Animal (PFA), Manipur on Wednesday. In a statement, PFA Manipur stated that the snake was found atop the mosquito net of one Ngangom Geeta from Iroiosemba Lourembam Leikai.

Although at first glance she dismissed the silhouette as some inanimate object, Geeta realised that it was a snake when she layed down to sleep, it added. Soon after PFA was contacted, its members arrived and the snake was rescued, it mentioned. The rescued snake was kept at the animal shelter of PFA, Manipur in Thoubal district.

The snake must have fallen from the ceiling beam of the house while chasing small rodents, PFA stated.
