Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday attended the Mega State-Level Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Rally at Koirengei, Imphal East.
CM Biren said various measures for the welfare, assistance and redressal of any grievances of the Indian Army veterans, veer naaris, and widows of service personnel from Manipur have been taken up.
"Attended the Mega Ex-Servicemen Rally at Koirengei, Imphal East. The valorous Indian Army Veterans, Veer Naaris, and Widows of Service Personnel from Manipur have shouldered the responsibility and given many sacrifices for protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. We have taken up various measures for their welfare, assistance and redressal of any grievances," CM Biren tweeted.
The ESM rally, organised by the Red Shield Division of the Indian Army under the aegis of Spear Corps, was aimed to honour the sacrifices and address the grievances of Indian Army veterans, Veer Naris and widows of service personnel from Manipur, a release stated.
Relevant functionaries from PCDA/records offices were set up for facilitating the on-the-spot resolution of the grievances of the ex-servicemen.
