Speaking to the Imphal Free Press, one Aadhaar enrolment operator said that more than 200 Permanent Aadhaar Enrolment Centers under Directorate of information (DIT) in Manipur have been closed down.
He informed that apart from many problems faced by the general public, the enrolment operators are facing many problems due to the closing of the Permanent Aadhaar Enrolment Centers under Directorate of information (DIT).
The operators bought costly machines to be used for Aadhaar enrolment or making corrections in Aadhaar cards. The machines cannot be used for any other work, and the opportunity to create employment has been wasted, he said.
The costly machines are lying useless, he maintained, while appealing to the state government to resume Aadhaar enrolment, correction and updating activities at the earliest.
