A cleanliness drive organised by Japhou Youth Club (JYC) in collaboration with the Chandel district police was conducted at the district headquarters and Japhou Bazaar in Chandel district on Thursday.
The cleanliness drive organised by JYC was participated by about 140 volunteers, including a police team led by additional SP (Law and Order) Shankerjit S Loitongbam and SDPO Chandel CL Thotreithing under the support of Chandel SP Hemant Panday.
The drive was conducted at the vicinity of the police station, DC Lamkhai, Japhou Bazaar main town, Japhou Dispensary, Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School Japhou road, SDO office, and Ima Market Japhou Bazar.
On the occasion, JYC president Wanglar Somie said that the cleanliness drive was conducted to keep the Japhou Bazaar town and its surroundings neat and clean. The cleanliness drive concluded with a group photo and refreshments provided by the police team at Ima-Market Japhou Bazar.
