The Takvom village, Churachandpur district in Manipur celebrated its 75th Jubilee celebration on Saturday with the attendance of MLA Churachandpur assembly constituency LM Khaute’s son Paulalvang Khaute.
Due to the ongoing Manipur Assembly session, the MLA could not attend the occasion as a chief guest as planned.
The programme was witnessed by almost all settlers and their chief Punchinkhup Guite ,who had survived the establishments since 1947.
On the occasion, reverend K Khamchinkhup inaugurated the memorial stone of the village in attaining 75 years of existence with prayers to God.
Chief of the village Punchinkhup Guite said he was happy that the villagers had come to support him and his family.
