Churachandpur: Miscreants ransack bank, but no report of robbery

The branch manager of the bank has reported the matter to Singat police station and an FIR has been registered.

Unidentified miscreants ransacked the Central Bank of India (CBI), Singat branch in Churachandpur on July 31 night, but there has been no report of robbery from the bank.

According to sources, the miscreants entered the bank by breaking the roof of the building and broke the drawer of the branch manager but nothing was looted.

Although the office of the Central Bank of India (CBI) was located near the camp of Assam Rifles at Singat, no one noticed the incident and it only came to the knowledge of the staff when they went to their office to resume their duty on Monday.

The branch manager of the bank has reported the matter to Singat police station and an FIR has been registered. No arrest has been made so far and police are investigating the case.
