The announcement was made in the presence of KPA president Tongmang Haokip, vice-president Chinkholal Thangsing.

Tongmang Haokip released the manifesto and gave out the party affirmation of their candidates.

“The KPA is a party formed with the objective to create a platform that will focus on the identity, culture, and land as the Kukis have been facing discrimination. We do not have a common platform which was the reason KPC was created for a union of Kuki tribes… They will come out victorious as the foundation of the party was based on the will of God to do justice to the Kuki people,” he said.
