Churachandpur: Injured, unidentified person dies at hospital

An unidentified body is being kept at the mortuary of Churachandpur district hospital after a post mortem was conducted at RIMS mortuary on Tuesday.

One person who was found with a head injury on Saturday midnight at Nute Bazar located at a distance of around 1 kilometre from Churachandpur Police station in Churachandpur district succumbed at Churachandpur District Hospital, sources said.  

Police said, the deceased is suspected to be a non-local from his looks and his identity is yet to be ascertained. As the area he was found is located near a liquor shop, it is further suspected that he got heavily drunk and sustained the head injury while falling on the ground.

After he was brought to the hospital on Saturday, he succumbed to his injuries at around 8.30 am. The deceased person wore a blue-coloured half shirt, blue coloured pants, and white coloured shoes.

The unidentified body is now being kept at the mortuary of Churachandpur district hospital after a post mortem was conducted at RIMS mortuary on Tuesday.
