Churachandpur DC inspects National Highway 102B construction
The construction work was halted since April 4, following protests by affected chiefs and CSOs which alleged non-payment of supplementary compensation for standing properties.

Deputy commissioner of Churachandpur Pawan Yadav on Saturday along with officials concerned conducted an inspection to assess the ground situation resulting in suspension of the construction work of the National Highway 102B from zero point (Churachandpur police station to Singngat).
The inspection was done to expedite the resumption of the highway construction under Package 1A and 1 B.
The construction work was halted since April 4, following protests by affected chiefs and CSOs which alleged non-payment of supplementary compensation for standing properties.
With on the spot assessment on Saturday, the issue is likely to be settled soon and construction work is expected to resume sooner.
The DC was accompanied by ADC (Dev) Khaikhopau Ngaihte and officials from the PWD and NHIDCL.
