Children's Day was widely celebrated at various educational institutions in Ukhrul and Kamjong districts with pomp and gaiety on Monday. 

Educational and motivational programmes and special prayers for the children marked the celebration in the two districts. 

As a part of the celebrations, prizes were distributed to young students in various categories such as best discipline, punctuality, cleanliness, excellent attendance, etc. among others.
