<p><span style="color:#222222">A wooden house was burnt to ashes at Sehlon village under Molcham police station in Chandel district at around 5 am on Wednesday.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#222222">Besides the house, a car and belongings worth lakhs have been burnt to cinders although there were no casualties in the fire. The house belonged to one Doukholun Touthang, 50, son of Langjam Touthang.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#222222">It is suspected that the fire was caused by an electric short-circuit. The villagers and AR personnel who were present at the village, attempted to extinguish the fire but could save a little portion of the house. &nbsp;</span></p>
