Chandel District Magistrate has extended the last day of reporting arms licences till March 15, 2023.
In a notification on Friday, the district magistrate informed that the last date for arm license holders, in respect of license issued by the office of DC Chandel, to report in person along with the Arms License and arms to respective police stations has been extended till March 15, 2023.
The notification is issued as a last and final chance to those defaulters to report within the specified timeline, it stated.
The notice further informed the officer in charge of respective police stations (Chande/Chakpikarong/Molcham) of Chandel District and Tengnoupal/Kakching Districts police stations to do the necessary verification and return the license/arms which are in order.
It also notified those whose validity of the license is over or having requirements to do necessary changes in address and other corrections, the license and arms must be retained at the respective police stations for further action by the issuing authority.
