Union Minister of State (MoS) for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (CAF and PD), Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, on Thursday emphasised the centre’s commitment to ensuring peace and accelerating development in Manipur during her two-day visit to the state.
Addressing the media on the first day of her visit, MoS Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya highlighted the government’s proactive measures to restore peace at the earliest in Manipur. She highlighted the importance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the holistic development of Northeastern states, including Manipur, stating that the central government is tirelessly working towards this goal.
The MoS commenced her visit with an inspection of various central sponsored schemes implemented in Bishnupur district, accompanied by Manipur’s CAF and PD minister L Susindro and officials.
During her visit, she interacted with the local populace wherein she assured every possible step to address their grievances.
She also expressed satisfaction with the progress of initiatives aimed at grassroots development, emphasising the need for effective implementation on the ground.
During her itinerary, MoS Bambhaniya chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Bishnupur District Commissioner’s Office, focusing on the progress of CAF and PD projects across the district.
The meeting provided a platform to assess the impact of ongoing development initiatives and to address challenges, ensuring efficient execution of schemes.
As part of her visit, the MoS visited key project sites including Amrit Sarovar, Ayushman Arogya Mandir, and the Handloom Cluster in Bishnupur district where she observed firsthand the implementation of PM Modi’s flagship schemes.
She also participated in a boat tour at Loktak Lake accompanied by governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Minister Susindro, MLA T Robindro, and other officials.
