In an effort to encourage the youths in achieving their goals citing the achievement of successful personalities, the Chingmeirong Development Organisation (CDO) on Saturday honoured three successful personalities of the locality in Imphal East.
The three individuals are entrepreneur Karam Ashinikanta for being awarded with the prestigious Dr Abdul Kalam International Award 2023; Dr H Priyosakhi for being appointed as the director of RIMS and Dr S Rajendro for being nominated by the Urological Society of India for Presidential Gold Medal.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, MLA Th Arunkumar said, “It is not only their achievement which we are honouring but also their courage and dedication during their struggling period to obtain their goal”.
He cited the appointment of Priyosakhi as RIMS director after becoming the most fit doctor among all the doctors in RIMS to take the director charge.
The youths need to learn a lot from them, especially their dedication and hard work which has immensely led to their present position, he added.
The MLA also stressed the need of cooperation and support among the localities whenever a youth of the locality is rising up on positive aspects.
In this manner, the successful persons in return will also give his or her hands back to uplift the emerging youths in the future, said Arunkumar, while calling for unity among all the localities in moving forward to development.
During the programme, the CDO also felicitated the first position holder of Manipur Judicial Service Grade III Recruitment Examination 2022, Neera Sinam and Ningthoujam Prasant, for bagging the MU’s gold medal in Mass Communication.
The programme was also attended by CDO president B Abhishek Sharma and advisor of CDO Dr H Priyokumar as presidium members.
