Chingdai Area Kuki Youth Organisation (CAKYO) felicitated all the successful Class X and XII students of Chingdai area under Saikul sub-division in Kangpokpi district at an event held at Chingdai Khullen on Friday.
A total of 38 students were felicitated during the event where secretary of Chingdai Area Christian Fellowship Janglet Touthang, attending as the minister for the felicitation ceremony, delivered an exhortation speech and invoked blessing prayers for the students.
Nengboikim Haokip, daughter of Songin Haokip of Chayang village and Hoingaikim Kipgen, daughter of Paokhohao Kipgen of C Zoulen who managed to secure the highest marks in Class X and Class XII respectively were also feted on the occasion with cash awards.
Education secretary CAKYO Seiginlen Doungel said the event was part of the organisation’s ‘educational revolution’ programme to encourage students of the area. Edufest (Education Festival) for students will also be organised in the near future, he added.
The event was attended by KSO Bungpi Block; Kuki Women Union, Bungpi Block and Bungpi Area Kuki Chief Association Manipur.
