CADA pushes for total eradication of drugs

A meeting on ‘the total eradication of illicit drugs’ was conducted at Nongchup Sanjenbam Community Hall Imphal West district on Thursday by the Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) as part of its movement against drug abuse in Manipur.

A release signed by the secretary information and  publicity of CADA Khundongbam Anand stated that the programme was jointly organised by the local CADA unit, Social Youth’s Organisation (SOYO) and Sanjenbam Apunba Meira Paibi Lup.

Various resource persons spoke at the event with diverse and deep insights. President of SOYO Ngangom Ningthemjao highlighted that the problem of drugs is not a trivial issue but could harm the majority at large, and it would be unwise to consider opiates as Heroin as the only lethal drug.
