A customer was allegedly injured by broken glass pieces while eating donut made by Sajan Bakery in Thoubal district. Following it, the Lamding Educated Welfare Association (LEWA) on Monday demanded the state government to take up necessary action against the bakery.

In a release, LEWA stated that one Nongmaithem Romen Singh from Lamding Khumanthem Leikai under Khangabok Kendra, found the broken pieces of glass inside a donut made by Sajan Bakery at Sangaiyumpham Part I in Thoubal district.

Romen was eating Sajan Bakery’s donut costing Rs 10 when the pieces of glass injured his mouth, it added.

LEWA appealed to the concerned authorities to take up necessary action against the “irresponsible and negligent” bakery. Announcing the boycott of the supply of Sajan Bakery products at Lamding Leikai indefinitely, LEWA cautioned the public to remain wary of Sajan Bakery products.
