Miscreants left a hand grenade on an excavator that is being used to pave a roadway between Kamalong and Pumdunlong village Senapati district on Thursday morning, sources said.

The roadway is located at a distance of 42 km away from Maram Police Station

The bomb was spotted by a team of Assam Riffles. A team of Bomb Disposal Squad from Manipur Police, Imphal arrived at the spot and disposed of the bomb at 9.50 pm, the sources said.
