A Chinese hand grenade was found inside the office of a private finance company under Porompat Police station, Imphal East around 9.15 am Friday, sources said.
After Porompat police station was informed, a police team was deputed at the site, premises of NK Finance, to maintain proper security measures, as per sources.

A team of Manipur Police Bomb Disposal Squad safely disposed of the grenade at the foothill of Baruni around 11.08 am, it stated.
No individual or outfit has claimed responsibility for the incident so far, it added.
