Bomb blast in Jiribam's Lalkhal village

An IED exploded under a car (cruiser with registration number AS-11BC-2779) that belong to one Siradun Haque.

Unidentified miscreants allegedly exploded an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Lalkhal village at Chhotobekra, Jiribam on Monday evening. There were no reports of any casualty.

The IED exploded under a car (cruiser with registration number AS-11BC-2779) that belong to one Siradun Haque, 35, son of Ain Uddin.

Speaking on the occasion, Siradun said that the car was parked at Lalkhal village nearby a wedding ceremony, when the explosive went off at around 7:40 pm. No injuries were sustained in the explosion, he mentioned.

A team of Jakuradhor Police Station led by the OC arrived on the site to investigate, he added.

OC Shyam of Jakuradhor PS said that since the explosive was not powerful no injuries were sustained. Stating that a case had been filed regarding the incident, he added that the police force is still carrying out investigation.
