A lifeless body of a man was found at Langol Lamkhai under the jurisdiction of Lamphel Police Station, Imphal West district on Tuesday at around 9.30 pm.

The deceased has been identified as Lugchang Hangyo, 60, son of Sanaghou Hangyo of Langol Lamkhai Fishery Colony. Local liquor was also found near the body, said reports.

Lamphel Police station has registered a case on the incident and the body has been handed over to the family after conducting a postmortem at RIMS mortuary in presence of a magistrate.
