With the aim to curb drug menace at North AOC area in Imphal which is considered as a hotspot for users, a new office of the Imphal Centre District of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) was opened at Zomi Villa gate in North AOC region.
Speaking to the media after the inauguration of the office, BJYM president M Barish said opening of such a new central district office will help in strengthening the BJYM in leading the youths towards a positive path.
Contending that North AOC has become a hotspot for the uses and other immemorial and indecency activities, he said that the volunteers of the office will be able make an exemplary North AOC by monitoring and preventing any such unwanted activities as a support to the war on drugs.
The programme was also attended by MLA Kh Joykishan, president of BJP Imphal Centre District president A Puinabanta Singh among others.
