BJP Heirok Mandal also joined in observing the 43rd foundation day of Bhratiya Janata Party at the mandal office on Thursday led by Heirok MLA Thokchom Radheshyam.
Mandal president Th Chourjit led the members of Heirok mandal in paying floral tributes to the founder of BJP Dean Dayal Mukhopadhyay, Atal Bihari Vajpayeee and other BJP leaders.
Speaking at the event, Th.Chourjit recalled how BJP was formed and the contributions made by the party leader Shyma Prasad Mukherji and Dean Dayal Upadhyay and appealed to the BJP members to pay tributes to the party leaders.
He also mentioned the party slogan “Nation first, party second, self last” and uplifting the most deprived is their goal.
Chourajit also recalled the nuclear test called “Pokharan test” carried out when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister of India.
He also mentioned the various schemes for women, children and the senior citizens of the country launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PM also distributed free food to more than 80 crore people of the country during the COVID-19 pandemic and also vaccinated the people for free to save them from the pandemic, he added.
BJP Heirok Mandal vice president L Sharat, general secretary N Brojen, social worker NSamer, Heirok AC booth committee members, Mahila, Yuba Morcha, Kishan, Minority Morcha and ST Morcha members attended the event.
Attendees of the event later watched the live telecast of Narendra Modi speaking on the occasion of the 43rd BJP foundation day.
