The massive developmental changes witnessed in the Northeastern region including Manipur in the last eight years is due the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government, claimed MAHUD minister Yumnam Khemchand on Tuesday.
He was speaking at the observation of ‘8th Anniversary of BJP’s Central Government Public Rally’ that was held at IMA hall, Lamphel, Imphal West on Tuesday. The programme was organised by BJP Imphal Central district.
The observation started on May 134 and will be continuing till June 22.

He said with the coming of the Modi-led government since 2014, a huge developmental change can be also witnessed in the state. The condition of National Highway-2 has been much better compared to what it was before the coming of the Modi led government.
Moreover, to ease the traffic congestion in the valley area, a sum of around Rs 10,000 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a ring road, he added.
In addition to other welfare schemes, the health schemes introduced by the BJP government have been giving much benefit to the people of the country, including Manipur, said the minister.
He further said that in order to bring more development, the people need to extend support for another Modi government in 2024. MLA, RK Imo and other BJP officials attended the programme as dais members.
