BJP Chandel on Friday refuted NPP’s “baseless claims and false allegations” on BJP creating ties with Kuki militant groups under SoO in regards to the ensuing state general assembly election, and alleged NPP for spreading propaganda.
In a press meet held at the BJP office at Molnoi village in Chandel district, BJP Chandel president SK Angsel refuted NPP’s claim that the BJP party is using aid from Kuki SoO groups in Chandel and Tengnoupal assembly constituency in regards to the ensuing election.
Condemning the allegation, he alleged the NPP for falsely accusing BJP in order to gain political favour of the public in light of the ensuing election. Recalling the BJP government’s schemes and programmes during the Covid-19 pandemic, he said that the people of the assembly constituencies have a bond with BJP. The BJP Chandel district has enlightened the ECI in regards to the false allegations by the NPP, he added.
BJP Chandel district vice president Ch Lalpu Aimol said that NPP will not be able to win any of the 20 seats of hill regions. He accused the NPP of searching for excuses for their inevitable defeat.
