The Baptist Churches Union of India (BCUI) on Friday celebrated its 21st foundation day with the theme ‘working together with one mind’ with partner churches under Baptist Churches Union of India pulpit carrying out exchange programmes early morning on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, BCUI chairman Reverend Chingkhiuluanang Gonmei said Baptist Churches Union of India, BCUI was formed with an aim to promote mutual help and cooperation among the member churches in missionary projects, church planting, seeking lost souls to Christ, defending the principles of the Baptists, undertaking of relief and charitable works.

Gonmei said that the Baptist Churches Union of India stands for Baptist principles and doctrines even though there are varied practices as the time and places differ widely. In such a situation, the Baptist Churches Union of India, BCUI provides a platform for the like-minded Churches to come together and share some unique ways to bring uniformity among partnership Churches, he said.
“May the name of the Lord Jesus Christ be magnified and exalted as we observe the 21st Baptist Churches Union of India, BCUI Foundation Day on this day,” he added.

At Zeliangrong Baptist Church Tamenglong district headquarters, Zion Baptist Church Pastor and BCUI coordinator, Reverend Chingkhiupou Riamei shared a Gospel and urged the congregation to live with patience and love each other to serve God.
