The attestation parade of 181 Head Constable (RO/RM) of Border Security Force and one CT/wireless of IRB Battalion of Andaman and Nicobar was conducted at the parade ground of Subsidiary Training Center, BSF, Churachandpur, Manipur on Wednesday.
The occasion was attended as chief guest by the additional DG of BSF (EC) Ravi Gandhi who took Salute of the grand parade by the 182 passouts who had successfully completed basic training in various disciplines.
They took oath for their duties toward the nation, which came after they underwent a 24-week rigorous training.
The occasion was witnessed by the ADG of BSF( EC), IG of STD-BSF, Churachandpur, officers of all ranks, constables and their families, school students of Kendriya vidyalaya and the mediapersons.
After the parade, a band Show by band platoon of Ftr Mizoram and cachar (M&C), Purulla Chhau dance and Laathi Khela of West Bengal, Marital Arts and PT Jump were shown to the audience who received it with great applause and enthusiasm.
It may be mentioned that STC BSF was set up in 1970 and has been the only STC in the whole North Eastern states of India.
